I am new to the Invent advent calendars. So I am really excited to try out 25 new Diamine inks. I know I will love some, loathe others and still come away with a great experience. So, on to day one – Celestial Skies.
What a way to start out this Inkvent calendar! I love this ink. This ink is a beautiful blue with red depending on the paper and nib used and has tons of gold shimmer.
I like the color of this ink on Hobonichi paper. It is a lovely blue with lots of shimmer and just a tad bit of red showing up on the end.
You see the blue base on the left and then the red takes over adding a pop of gold shimmer all over.
The shimmer and colors are hard to photograph on this paper. I’ll try another angle next time. But in person, it is beautiful.
I call day one a success. Since I usually use fine of extra fine nibs, this will be regulated to my broad and medium nibs.
